The Clinicpathological Features and Prognostic Factors Analysis of GEP-NEN Cases Abstract Objective By analyzing various factors in GEP-NEN cases including the clinicpathological features, immunohistochemical expression, pathological grading and prognosis, this paper aims to promote further understanding of GEP-NEN and provide precise foundation for clinical treatment and prognostic judgment. Methods The clinicpathological documents of 119 GEP-NEN cases were analyzed retrospectively. In addition, Kaplan-Meier method was adopted to do survival analysis. Besides, Multi-factor Cox regression analysis was employed to screen independent risk factors which impacted on the survival time of patients. Results There were 72 male cases and 47 female ones among the 119 GEP-NEN cases, with proportion of male and female being 1.53:1. Ages of onset ranged from 19 to 86, with a median age of 53 and an average age of 56.2. There was statistical significance in the different ages of onset between male and female (P=0.013), with lower ages of onset of GEP-NEN among women compared with men. Pancreas was the most common site of onset (45/119, 37.82%), followed by rectum (33/119, 27.73%). And 32 of the 119 cases are functional, 87 nonfunctional.The pathological grading of 119 GEP-NEN cases was as follows: there were 76 cases of G1 (63.9%), 24 cases of G2 (20.2%), 19 cases of NEC (G3) which constituted 15.9%.
