(2). 不只是,不仅仅是(通常接名词,动词，从句) He is more than a father to her. 他待她胜过父亲。 (3). 极其,非常(通常接形容词，副词或分词) She was more than kind to me.她对我们很友好。 (4).与动词like, love 等连用，还可以表示“更，更加” I like tennis more than I like football. 与足球相比，我更喜欢网球。 2. Compare with other years, we received many more photos. 和往年相比，我们收到的相片多了很多。 compare with 在句中作状语，意为 “和……相比”。如： Compared with last year, we have had more success this year. 和去年相比，我们今年取得了更大的成功。 3.
