The main innovations of this paper are as follows: Firstly, in the case of controlling for other influencing factors,this paper makes an overall and systematic analysis about the influence on earnings management of the management equity incentive plans by analyzing the changes of the degrees of earnings management in the the listed companies which had implemented stock option incentive plans and the differences of the degrees of earnings management between the samples and their matching samples. Specifically,this paper divides the sample into two subsamples based on the types of the equity incentive, so this paper will be a more detailed discussion about the impact of equity incentives on earnings management ; secondly this paper uses the newly developed matching method-Propensity Score Matching to find out the matching samples,so it can solve the problem of sample selection bias and decrease the influence on the results of the endogeneity problem, so we can analyses the influence of the management equity incentive plans on earnings management more objectively.
