T he incidence rate of active T B cases am ong residents decreased from 40/100 000 in 2000 to 28/100 000 in 2005, an d m aintained for next 4 years. A ccording to the resu lts of m u ltivariab le analysis, higher proportion of young T B cases and m iddle-aged cases, higher proportion of sm ear-positive cases and higher proportion of T B cases w ho delayed in diagnosis exp lained the m aintaining trend of T B incidence rate of residents. The incidence rate of active T B cases am ong m igran ts increased slow ly during 2005-2007， then decreased rap idly during 2007-2009. A ccording to the resu lts of m u ltivariab le analysis, higher proportions of T B cases w ho had no treatm ent h istory an d w ho received full sup ervision or strengthening-period supervision during treatm ent and h igh er proportion of T B cases w ho w ere diagnosed w ithin 30 days and w ith in 90 days w ere the reason w hy T B incidence am ong m igrants decreased rap idly durin g 2007-2009.
