The theme of this paper is to investigate the values and the values in finance of Shanxi Banks “honesty, faith, righteousness and benefit”, the author thinks that it is honesty, faith, righteousness and benefit of the banks in such an underdeveloped society especially for economics and finance that are accepted by the merchant at the same time, as the rules of the society exchange, promoting the development of the commodity and currency trading. This paper analyzes the Banks “honesty, faith, righteousness and benefit thoughts, and its historical origin and their interrelationship among them deeply. The paper reveals that honestly is the best policy, faith is proposed for use, righteousness is honesty, faith and benefit is a node and the criterion. Banks’ honesty, faith, righteousness and benefit are the core culture in developing financial industry. The history of financial culture can be traced back to banks period. To establish the financial culture, it is necessary and important to focus on honesty, faith, righteousness and benefit of Shanxi banks values. In words, this paper points out that financial culture is the soul of development of financ
