To learn to use the phrases such as get dressed, make the bed, talk on the telephone, do laundry, etc.
To learn how to pay a bill.
To train the students’ integrative abilities as well as the co-operative ability。
To build the students’ self-confidence and stimulate their study initiative and develop their team spirit. 教学重点 To master the sentence patterns in Present Continuous Tense. 教学难点 To use the phrases and sentence patterns freely.
The pair work group work. 教学环节 教学内容 设计意图 巩固导入 Step 1. Lead-in (5’)
Asking-answering: Get the whole class to answer the questions together.
Questions: What time is it? Where are you? What are you doing?
Picture talk: Invite some students to talk about the picture briefly according to the given questions.
Question: What is he / she doing? /What are they doing?
To draw the students’ attention, elicit some useful phrases and make preparation for next step.
To train the students’ listening , speaking and co-operative ability.
To create a comfortable environment for the student to study .
To elicit the basic form of the Present Continuous Tense and train the students’ ability of autonomic learning
To give the students more chances to practise the sentence patterns and build their confidence by achieving success.
To make the students overcome their shyness and stimulate them to act and speak in public. In the meanwhile, I’ll make the students have fun.
To train the students’ writing ability and let them know how to pay a bill.
To consolidate the sentence patterns and develop the students’ keen interest in learning English.
To emphasize the key points of this lesson again.
