Distinguish the right sentence structures. 2. Apply appropriate sentence structures in different situations. Teaching Difficult points: 1. Master some commonly-used basic linking words. 2. How to help students apply sentences structures correctly. Step 1 Leading in(Revision) ?1.?Use a mind map to help students revise different categories of complex sentence. 2. Present some complex sentences for students to identify the sentence type of complex sentence, this task helps revise the?sentence categories of complex sentence. Present a gap-filling task for students. By doing the task, students can have a good revision of some linking words used in complex sentences. Step 2 Presentation 1. Leading-in Show a video based on the topic of Unit 2 to students, then ask some questions related to the video. Lead the students to the topic of teenager-parent relation. 2. Translation Show some?advice on teenager-parent relation?to the students?in Chinese, ask them to translate them into English, and? must be translated into complex English sentences. (This part is even more difficult than the last one. It requires students to first know the differences between Chinese and English sentences, especially some sentence structure differences. Second, students need to write down the proper complex sentences by using proper linking words, which need students to have a very deep understanding of English sentence structures, sentence elements, and the linking words of complex sentences.)
