Only if combining the two aspects much logically , so as to improve the shipping business of beneficial result , then the work of designing the ship routes is basic and necessary . On the basis of certain theory of navigation, we still need to utilize some experience as a source of reference and adopt methods and measures according to specific situations. In different sailing territorial waters, different weathers, specific sailing routes, particular sailing period, etc., all of these need to be considered comprehensively in order to make the ship achieve the best safety factor, thereby to assure the security of both the ship and the goods on it. To sum up, it is particularly important to design a reasonable sailing route. This article supplies a detailed explanation in connection with different situations and combines the factors that should be considered in both safe and economical routes. At the end of this article , I take the sailing route of zhanjiangtosingapoas an example to analyse the whole process of designing the sailing routes . Key words：the design of
