In our country, most English learners learn English only from junior high school. And the new Junior High School Curriculum Standard (2001:14) has required that when students graduate from junior high school, they are supposed to achieve the fifth degree of listening ability. So, English teachers should notice the importance of listening when teaching English. But actually, most English teachers forget the importance of listening. They use less time to teach students this skill. So, students do not have enough training about listening. But it needs a long process to improve listening ability.
