(2) Review object clauses introduced by ‘if’ or ‘whether’. a. 我不敢肯定明天我是否会有时间。 I’m not sure if/whether I will have time tomorrow. b. 警察想知道受害人是否有敌人. The police wanted to know if/whether the victim had any enemies Translate the Chinese sentences into English .they can do them in pairs. help students review object clauses introduced by ‘that’, if/whether Step 2   Revision Review the questions with ‘wh-‘ words Have students translate the sentences into English 1 你什么时候把书还给我? 2 他在什么地方买的这台电脑? 3 她正在和谁一起玩? 4 谁将帮他修这台坏的电脑? 5 你买这本书花了多少钱? Check the answers ,ask students pay attention to the order of the sentences with wh-‘ words Translate the Chinese sentences into English on their own. Help students review the questions with ‘wh-‘ words Step 3  Object clauses introduced by ‘wh-‘ words Tell students that when object clauses relate to ‘wh-’ questions, we should use ‘wh-’ words to introduce object clauses. Ask students to read the grammar rules and the two example sentences at the top of page 29. Remind them that the clause should be introduced by ‘wh-’ words and the word order in the clause should be the same as in a statement. Ask students to do the exercise on page 29. Then check the answers as a class. Write the following sentences on the board. a. Where is Sam? b. How did you go to school this morning? c. What will you do next Monday? d. When did the film begin? e. Who wrote the book? Ask students to make sentences containing object clauses with the sentences above orally. Then ask them to write down: a.Do you know__________________________ b.I can’t imagine____________________ . c. I
