Teaching preparation: CAI, CD-ROM, some objects Teaching procedure: Step 1: Warming up Have a free talk with the children. Ask about the things they have got in their pencil-boxes. Practice the structure Have you got…? ? Step 2: Presentation and Practice 1. Use CD-ROM to show the text. Ask the children to find who wrote the letter. Then ask them to describe Laura. And ask the children to describe their own appearance by using I’ve got…. 2. Read the first paragraph and answer the following three questions in groups. (1) What food does Laura like? (2) What has she got? (3) What has her brother got? Present the focus sentences I’ve got some Chinese chopsticks. My brother has got a Chinese kite. 3.
