Department of Medical Ultrasound , Tongji Hospital , Tongji Medical college , Huazhong University of Sience and Technology , Wuhan 430030 , China) [Abstract] Objective To study the diastolic function of left heart of processions of diabetes and glucose tolerance cases. Meth叫s Forty-nine diabetes including 4 groups according processions and 43 glucose tolerance cases , and 55 control cases were included in this study. All the casés were measured regional myocardial strain rate of diastolic period by strain rate ima ging to reflect the diastolic function. Results The myocardial function of glucose tolerance and diabetes patients were dam aged. And the damage degrees of diabetes are severer than that of glucose tolerance and are negtive correlating with proces sions. Conclusion The technology of strain rate imaging is sensitive and it can diagnose the myocardial disease of diabetes earlier.
