Abstract In this paper, fluorescence spectrophotometer method were firstly applied to study the reaction 2+ of melamine in Eosin Y and neutral red system. Then the interaction of melamine between Cu , Ni2+ and Ethyl Violet(EV) were studied by using resonance Light Scattering. The reaction mechanism, optimum condition and disruptive factors in these experiments were also discussed. Base on these, a new method of fluorospectrophotometry and resonance Light Scattering to determine melamine in in milk products was developed and used to detect the melamine in milk products. These methods characterized by easy operation, simple per-disposal to sample and low cost, which could provided a new way for melamine detetion. The main content of the thesis as follows: (1) The first chapter is preface, introducing the research meaning and the progress of determine methods of melamine, and then summarise these methods, at last part, it confirms the study way and method of this paper. (2 ) The reaction of melamine with EY-NR is studied by fluorospectrophotometry. In Britton-Robinson buffer solution of pH 3.5, efficient energy transfer can occur between the acidic dye eosinY and the basic dye neutral red, the fluorescence value at wavelength of 538 nm is proportional to the concentration of melamine addition, based on it a fluorescence spectrophotometric method for the determination of melamine was established, and the optimum conditions for the determination of melamine and the interference of coexisting substances were studied.
