The development of the latter influences that of the former. The use of English v-ed participle is no exception to this rule. In modern linguistics, a great many researches have been conducted by many scholars on this kind of participle, but most of them are from the perspective of traditional grammar. Both in traditional grammar books at home and abroad, English v-ed participle is treated as a special grammatical phenomenon, whose semantic-syntactic functions are only described statically without any explanation of the reason for its multifunctionality in discourses.
