By m ak ing u se of the an t co lony algorithm in the con tinuou s sp ace op tim ization p rob lem s, the flood calcu lation p rob lem of p aram eter e stim ation of imp roved M u sk ingum rou ting model is so lved. The re su lts of the compu ter sim u lation show that the imp roved M u sk ingum rou ting model is valid and p ractical, and it is su itab le for so lving the flood cal2 cu lation p rob lem s.
