One of the key problem is how t o ident if y t he f ract ures in the imaging mat erial of t he w ells . A ccording that local frac t ures t ake t he shape of plane, a fract ure ident if ying algorithm w as proposed. First , a line fit ting most of t he im age pixels is det ermined. Second, t he noise pixels far aw ay f rom t he line are deleted. T hen t he posit ion of t he line is calculated ag ain. Repeat above process until the position of t he line doesn t change. T his algorit hm makes up the defect ion of traditional operation and has been u sed in a real problem, the results show ed a good perf or mance.
