    yearinwhichallHouseseatsandone-thirdofSenateseatswillbe

    contested.

    OneofCongress’lastactsof2013wastopassatwo-yearbipartisanfederal

    budget.WillDemocratsandRlicanscontinuetoworkhand-in-handinthe

    yeartocome?Notiflawmakers’parting

    commentswereanyindication.

    Democrats,saidSenatorRichard

    Durbin,wanttofocusonthewidening

    incomegapweenAmerica’srichand

    working-classcitizens.

    “Whenwereturnnextyear,weneedto

    makeworkingfamiliesourhighest

    priority,”saidhe.

    FellowDemocratCharlesSchumerconcurred.

    “Thetectonicplatesofourpoliticsarechanging.Thedeclineofmiddleclass

    incomesandthedifficultyforaveragepeoplegettinggoodpayingjobshas

    overtakenthedeficitasthenumberoneproblemfacingourpoliticaleconomy

    today,”saidSchumer.

    messageintothe2014elections,SenatorTomCoburnremainsfocusedonU.S.

    fiscalwoes.

    moneywiselyandeffectively,”saidCoburn.

    Obama’shealthcarelaw.SenatorJohnThunespokeofbrokenpromises.
