二胡曲《二泉映月》演奏版本研究 Introduction Erquan Ying Yue (二泉映月), also known as Reflection of the Moon on Erquan Spring, is a famous erhu piece in China. It was composed by Hua Yanjun (华彦钧) in 1923 and has become one of the most popular works in the erhu repertoire. The piece is characterized by its heartfelt melody, rich emotional expression, and delicate phrasing. This paper will explore the different versions of Erquan Ying Yue that have arisen over the years, analyzing the interpretive choices made by each performer and comparing their different approaches. Background Erquan Ying Yue is a musical tribute to the scenery of Hua Yanjuns homeland in Shandong province, China. The piece was originally composed for the erhu, a Chinese two-stringed musical instrument, and the soloist typically plays with a bow made from horsetail hair. Erquan Ying Yue quickly received widespread popularity and is now performed by both amateur and professional musicians around the world. Versions Over the years, there have been many interpretations of Erquan Ying Yue. The differences between these interpretations can be attributed to the performers individual style, the historical context in which they were performed, and the technological advancements in recording technology. One of the earliest recordings of the piece was made in the 1930s and was performed by the renowned erhu player Liu Tianhua (刘天华). This version is characterized by its slow and expressive pace, with Lius passionate playing emphasizing the emotional aspects of the melody. In contrast, a recording made in the 1960s by Wu Zhongxi (吴仲熙) exemplifies the increased technical proficiency of erhu players during this time. Wus version features a faster tempo, more complex ornamentation, and greater use of vibrato, which adds depth and nuance to the melo
