* Vulvitis refers to the inflammatory condition of the skin and the mucus of vulva. Direct contact with irritants and extension of infections from the vagina. Main causes include vaginal discharge. Menstrual flows lochia, urine and feces. Other causes of vulvitis include diabetic women’s urine. Symptom :adult women describe the vulva symptoms using a variety of terms such as itching, pain, swellings, discharge, discomfort, burning, external dysuria, soreness, pain with intercourse or sexual activity. Signs erythema, edema, and superficial skin ulcers also may be present. Some women have an itch-scratch-itch Cycle, In which the itching leads to scratching that causing vulvar skin to become white and thickened (Leathery). Direct women pay attention to personal hygiene; clean affected , clothes, bedding, and towels; and disinfect the home environment. Nursing care of symptoms includes frequent cleansing with neutral agents’ wearing of cotton panties, cotton- crotched pantyhose, and nonconstricting clothing; and heat in the form of sitz baths and perineal irrigations. Advise the patient not to scratch the itching –tissues, which can cause further mechanical trauma and infection, and to avoid sexual intercourse during the course of treatment.
