It is analyzed from multiple perspectives and by means of multidisciplinary approaches, w hich considers the integration of such factors as follow s:the design theme and the visual effects of subw ay netw ork, different design projects in subw ay stations; underground subw ay public art design and surrounding urban environment above stations, cultural and commercial elements, and management and implementation of different designs as w ell as follow-up management of the designs. The integrated design, unlike the traditional design concepts, w hich put a great emphasis on details, adopts a holistic approach. It is expected to help to improve the quality of subw ay public art design and reflect an appreciation of both traditions and contemporary urban life. The integrated design can enrich the local culture and help to create a distinctive subw ay space not only w ith w ell-developed amenities but also a sense of unity of man w ith nature.
