Rea-l tim e Object Tracking in Color Im age Sequences

A bstract Rea-l tmi e object tracking method is proposed in this paper. It provides the ability to track the moving object in
color mi age sequences. Firstly, an mi provedmotion detection method is used to acquire potential regionsw ith moving object
regions in the mi age. Then it tracks the object by combining theM ean Shift algorithm and moving detection algorithm. The
expermi ent results show that the algorithm which can track the moving objects quickly and precisely, and the algorithm is
robust to size changes of themoving objects and can track sudden appearance of objects.
