Indications and contraindications Indications Autogenous arteriovenous fistula angioplasty is suitable for patients with chronic renal failure requiring long hemodialysis treatment. (2) elderly patients with diabetes mellitus, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and other organ dysfunction should be treated with autogenous arteriovenous fistula as early as possible. Contraindication (1) severe stenosis or obvious thrombus occurred in the proximal vena cava or central vein of extremities, or venous reflux due to adjacent lesions.
