台南大天后宮傳統設計之研究 郭旭姬 高雄師範大學視覺設計研究所研究生 高雄市三民區建國一路 386 號 5F 之 1 jessicakuo8@ 摘要 台南大天后宮為國家歷史一級古蹟，原是明朝寧靖王府邸，不僅是一座具有三百餘年歷史的古建築， 也是地方上的傳統信仰中心。本研究以田野調查和文獻分析來探討大天后宮的傳統設計，包括廟宇中的 塑像、石雕、木雕、木作與彩繪等，探究其裝飾動機及其象徵意義，並將其照片、年代、匠師、材質、 尺寸、功能、象徵意涵等，作系統性整理，彙整出一套淺顯易懂的圖表。讓更多人輕易了解大天后宮傳 統設計在歷史文化上的意義與價值，使台灣歷史建築與文物古蹟得以延續傳承下去。 關鍵詞：台南大天后宮、古蹟、石雕、木雕、彩繪 A study of the traditional design of the Tainan Ta-Tien-Hou Temple Hsu-Chi Kuo Abstract The Ta-Tien-Hou Temple of Tainan is the first grade historic site of Taiwan. It was the palace of the last royal of Ming dynasty. It’s not only an old architecture with 300 years but the center of folk belief in Tainan. This research report uses fieldwork and literatures to analysis the traditional design of the Tainan Ta-Tien-Hou Temple. Including the clay statues,stone carvings,wood carvings,wooden structures and paintings. Than study the motivation of decorating and symbolization of those above. And this report has made those pictures,decade,craftmans,materials,size,functions and symbolism be well systematic arranged and output a chart that easy to understand. This report will let much more people easily realize the significance and value of the traditional design of the Tainan Ta-Tien-Hou Temple on the history and culture,and let the historic architectures and cultural relics of Taiwan can be passed along forever.
