The present study describes the preparation of r-HDL containing both a~li~protein (apo) A-I and apo A-II. r-HDL with 100: 1 (mol: mol) egg PC l apo A-I and 0 (Series I), 5 (Series II) or 10 (Series III) mol% unesterified cholesterol were prepared by the cholate dialysis method. The resulting complexes had a Stokes’ radius of 4.7 nm and contained two molecules of apo A-I per particle.
