Purification of Ni Ions in Solution using Electroflotation Treatment

Abstract This work deals with the research on electroflotation treatment on Ni2+ ions for urification. The
effects of H, ionic strength, electrode current intensity and concentration of Ni2+ ions are discussed. Com aredwith
the traditional reci itation method, it is shown that the electrolytic tiny bubbles not only take art in the flotation
rocess, floating u the insoluble articles, but also hel the flocculation of metal colloid articles, adsorbing and

removal of soluble Ni ions. It is also found that the electroflotation treatment is su erior to reci itation method in
dealing with low concentration Ni2+ ions. Moreover, this also rovides referential information for treating other heavy
metal ions.
