ABSTRACT objecfive：Toevaluatetheprotectiveeffectsofsodiumaescinate(SA)preconditioningonthe
tourniquet-inducedischemia-repeffusion(I／R)injuryafterIimbsoperation．Methods：Seventy-fivepatientswith
grade I-ⅡissuedbyAmericanSocieytofAnesthesiologyundergoinglowerlimbopemtionwererandomly
assignedto3groups：thecontrolgroup，low-doseSA-treatedgroupandhigh_doseSA—treatedgroup；each
groupenrolled25patients．Thepatientsweretreatedwith5mgand10mgSA30minbefore tourniquetinflation
inthetwotreatmentgroupsseparately．whilethepatientsinthecontroIgroupreceivednormaIsaline．Venous
bloodsampleswereobtainedbeforetourniquetwasjnflated(TObaseline)．And5(T1)，10(T2)，2O(T3)minafter
tourniquetwasreleased．Thenitricoxide(NO)，maIondiaIdehyde(MDA)andsuperoxidedismutase(SOD)Ievels
weredeterminedbycommerciaJkits．Meanwhile，arteriaJpressure(MAP)andheadrate(HR)weremonitorde
from anautomaticinvigilator．Results：InthecontroIgroup，MDA andNO levelswereincreased，andSODand
MAPweredecreasedsignificantlyaftertourniquetdeflationcomparedtoTObaselinefPO．05)。Aftertourniquet
deflation，MDA andNO Ievelsinthetwotreatedgroupsweresignificantlydecreased；meanwhile，SOD Ievels
andMAPwereincreased，andthevariationsofHRweremorestablecomparedwiththecontroIgroup (all
P0．05)．TherewasnosignificantdifferenceinalIoftheabovebetweenthetwotreatedgroups(P0．05)．
Conclusion：TheprotectiveeffectsofSApreconditioningontourniquet—inducedlimbI／Rinjurymightpossibly
contributetotheincreasingofSODIevels．andMAPandthedecreasingofMDAandNO Ievels．
