Ltd. , Jinan 250 100, China) bstract: A computer supervising controlsystem was designed or an iron urnace by use o the Programmable Logic Controller ( PLC) and advanced PROFIBUS ield bus technology. In this system, Siemens PLC, S7300 was as the automatic data collection and control unit. By various sensors, realtime data o many urnace param eters input the controller . According to the processed data, the controller supervises the circuits relevant to water level or windtemperature to sat is y the set requests. At the same time, the supervising computer provides man tomachine communication or operators. The application o PROFIBUS ield bus and OPC ( OLE or Process Control) technology makes it easy to meet the demands o Network communicat ions.
