The requirements to reading are becoming higher and higher, too.Reading ability is an important component part in language abilities and one of the four basic language skills. On how to improve the reading level of students, predecessors have done a lot of researches and reached many theoretical achievements, such as, the?“Phrase-sensitive Format” of Liu Zhenqian(2002).1 Recent years, the relationship between the modify of language input and reading has become a hot topic in the research of SLA?(Second Language Acquisition).?A. The Definitions of Reading Comprehension? What is reading comprehension or what is the nature of reading? Many attempts have made to define or describe the aspects of the nature of reading. Reading maybe defined as an individual’s total interrelationship with symbolic information. Reading is a communication requiring a series of skills. As such, many defines of reading comprehension have been suggested by researchers. Goodman?(1989) said that:?“It is a psycholinguistic process in that it starts with a linguistic surface representation encoded by a writer and ends with meaning which the reader constructs. There is thus an essential interaction between language and thought in reading. The writer encodes thought as language and the reader decodes language to thought.”2?Wixson﹠Peters(1983) proposed that?“Reading is the process of constructing meaning through the dynamic interaction among the reader’s existing knowledge, the information suggested by the written language, and the context of the reading situation.”3These definitions reflect an interactive view of reading comprehension, which is representative of current trends away from a decoding-only emphasis in which the reader’s task is to derive meaning from text and toward a concept
