奥尔夫音乐教学法对学龄前儿童思维开发之研究 Introduction: Every parent wants their child to grow up as a successful, intelligent and creative citizen of society. However, the key to achieving this success lies in developing their mindset in the initial years of life. In recent times, music has proven to be a valuable aid in the cognitive learning and psychological development of children. Carl Orff developed an influential music teaching method, known as the Orff Schulwerk (Orff Music Pedagogy), that emphasizes childrens natural instinct to play and discover the world around them. This method is designed to promote creativity, teamwork, cultural awareness and cognitive development in children. Therefore, this paper will explore the effectiveness of the Orff music pedagogy in developing the cognitive skills and thinking abilities of preschool-aged children. Body: 1. Theoretical Concepts of the Orff Music Pedagogy Orff Schulwerk is a pedagogical method aimed at promoting an experiential approach to music education. It focuses primarily on the natural impulses of children to play, improvise, and discover. The Orff approach is based on the belief that childrens innate musicality can be developed through active participation in musical activities. According to Orff, children learn best through experience and the senses. Therefore, he developed a unique teaching method that primarily involves rhythmic and melodic improvisation, movement, singing, and instrumental play. The Orff Method is based on learning through experience, with little emphasis on reading or writing music. This method promotes creativity, imagination, and teamwork among children. 2. The Importance of Music in Early Childhood Education. Music is critical in cognitive development, especially in early childhood. Research has shown that music education has significant benefits for childrens physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. Music education enhances childrens perception and discrimination of sounds,
