FDI has great effect on domestic investment, technology progress, export trade, etc. In this environment, as one of the most important old industrial bases in northeast, when facing the huge impacts brought by reform and opening up, Liaoning province has some problems in its economic development. In order to withstand the short-term impact due to these changes and seize new round development opportunity, Liaoning province should use foreign direct investment positively and effectively. The level and quality of using foreign direct investment should also be upgraded. And the role of FDI for improving the economic development and upgrading the industrial structure of Liaoning province should be researched fully. In this paper, this subject analyzes the influence of FDI on the export commodity structure in Liaoning province through the theoretical and empirical research.it is of great practical significance for the government to use foreign investment to further optimize the structure of export commodities and enhance the international competitiveness of export products. This paper researches the subject through?five chapters. The first chapter describes the research background and significance,?and scholar’s impact of FDI in the study of the structure of export commodities. The second chapter mainly expounds the related concepts and theories.
