Abstract In the new e-economy era, the traditional management models have to face greater challenges and enterprises in supply chain will overcome obstacles in information sharing. Researches on the value of supply chain information sharing will help enterprises to strengthen and expand information transferring within itself, between the enterprise and its partners and the market, hence enhance work efficiency and reduce costs. On the basis of literatures, this thesis establishes an incomplete information sharing model of a two-stage supply chain, which could be helpful to enterprises to strengthen information sharing among each others. Firstly, through applying the basic theories of supply chain information sharing, this thesis analyzes the relationship between supply chain and information-sharing. Secondly, this paper discusses the values of information sharing in the supply chain. Through establishing a two-stage supply chain model which consists of a manufacturer and a distributor, this thesis analyzes the value of demand information that the distributor shares with the manufacturer under three different information sharing patterns. And finally, a cost-benefit-based supply chain information-sharing model is established. In terms of the different savings in products costs and distribution expense that manufacturers and distributors will get from the information sharing to some extent, the supply chain coordination model based on incomplete information sharing discusses the optimal decision of supply chain under an incomplete information sharing circumstance. In another words, the node enterprises determine the appropriate level of information sharing according to the costs and benefits of information sharing, and further determine the order quantity and the price of order.
