The discharge structure is an important part of hydraulic engineering, mainly undertake the major task of the primary river flood of normal catharsis. In several ways of traditional energy dissipation, ski-jump energy dissipation is a more economical, convenient form of energy dissipation, especially for low and bedrock tailrace better situation. In the flip bucket and flow together, will produce local riverbed erosion downstream riverbed can cause serious water conservancy destroyed and caused damage. But, due to flow and sediment movement of the complexity of the situation is hard to pick water erosion accurate calculation of the tongue, most of the studies are based on solid physical models to solve. However, along with the development of simulation technique, numerical simulation becomes a strongly means to study the discharge structure and hydraulic characteristics gradually.
With the right boundary condition, reasonable grid and appropriate math model, numerical simulation can reflect the hydrodynamic characteristic of the project. The paper proceeds from Navier-Stokes equation and uses Finite volume method to discrete controlling equations.
Compare with the advantages and disadvantages of various turbulence models, the RNG
k ? ε model is selected. Meanwhile, the paper utilizes the VOF to deal with the free surface
and the structured non-uniform grid and mesh refinement are employed.
Based on the review of previous research results, the present paper uses FLOW-3D and Gambit commercial software to simulate flow field on the three-dimensional numerical
