FOREWARDThe AGL Contractor Environment Health and SafetyStandard provides Environment Health and Safety (EHS) criteria for contractors in line with requirements of AGL’sEHS Policy and the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 2007 to ensure that all persons are protected so far as is reasonably practicable from Environment Health and Safety hazards and have received appropriate guidance in support of AGLEHS Management System. This standard aims to improve Akiira Geothermal Limited and the contractor health and safety environmental performance regarding exploration and production activities.It is designed to:Improve workplace safety, health and environmental performanceAssist contractors meet AGL’s EHS expectationsFacilitate the interface of the contractor’s activities with those of AGL, other contractors and sub-contractorsIt is expected that all contractors will implement requirements defined within it to ensure that contractor related activities are properly and safely completed. The management at each facility is responsible for ensuring that assignments of responsibilities associated with this standard are made as needed to facilitate compliance.Workplace Environment Health and Safety is the basis from which productivity, retention, quality of output and employee engagement is derived.
