Cutting force analysis: using multiple regression method to establish a mathematical model between the cutting force and cutting parameters for the safe of machining parameter optimization. Surface Quality Evaluation: Take the surface roughness as primary object to study , study the impact of surface roughness from the side of cutting parameters, get a mathematical model of surface roughness and cutting parameters through using linear regression method, then through the processing roughness histogram obtained the most critical affecting factor. Cutting parameters optimization: using response surface methodology first calculate the distribution space of processing parameters, through regression the non-dimensional linear codes of the various processing parameters obtained the model of surface roughness. Analysing the regression model of the surface roughness, combined factors effects and processing efficiency, using single-factor method to optimize the cutting parameters, then finally selected optimized cutting parameters. Comparison tool life and cutting wear analysis: through using different tools for cutting wear test at different cutting parameters, study wear and breakage patterns of tool and its main failure forms when the alloy cast iron materials under processing, and wear mechanism of the cutting tool life was analyzed. Applied model prediction method to predict life to promote the rational application of the tool. According to test results, combined with production practice I designed processing of HX-type cylinder liner for mass production as well as improve and optimize the processing of similar products in the company.
