The main results are as follows : . Using convex-cone theory , supersolution and subsolution method and monotone iteration technique , by setting up a new comparing theory and doing precise computation of norm of linear operator , we obtain some existence and uniqueness results. The main results improve and extend the results of [9] , [10]. . By using the precise estimation of solution operator norm of linear equation , using measure of noncompactness and topological degree of condensing mapping , we show some existence and uniqueness results under weaker condition . The results are new . . Under the noncompactness measure conditions , the existence of positive solution for second order periodic boundary value problems in Banach spaces are also obtained by accurately calculating the measure of noncompactness and employing fixed-piont index theorems of condensing map .
