Strategies to Improve Listening Comprehension in Middle School Abstract:Listening comprehension, as one of the receptive skills, is the key to good communication, it’s also a major component of effective communication. River’s research shows that listening accounted for 45% of the amount of communication. While listening comprehension is still the bottleneck for many middle school students. The new English curriculum requirements stress the importance of improving the junior middle school students’ listening ability. In order to solve this problem, the English teaching reformers begin to put priority on the training of listening skills. Through investigation and analysis, the thesis focuses on the obstacles of listening comprehension in middle school, and finds out some possible solutions to help students improve their listening comprehension ability. Key Words: listening comprehension; obstacles; strategies; Middle School; importance 提高中学生听力理解的策略 摘要:听力理解作为一项输入性技能,是学习者学习其他语言技能的基础,也是有效交流的重要形式。里弗斯(Rivers)的研究表明听占整个语言交际活动量45%。但目前来看,英语听力理解仍然是困扰广大中学生的一大难题,而且新课改也强调调高中学英语听力的重要性,因此为了解决这个问题,英语教学改革开始把集中训练听力放首要位置。通过调查和分析,本论文将集中针对中学听力中存在的问题,并提出一些可能的方法来帮助学生提高听力能力。 关键词: 听力理解;障碍;策略;中学;重要性 Table of Contents I.
