Nowadays, Chinese insurance companies face with strong competition with foreign insurance companies which have rich capital, advanced technology and other challenges, so to study the equity financing problem is the necessity of the survival and development. Through equity financing, Chinese-funded insurance companies can enter the capital market, enrich the capital in the trend of further opening, and enhance comprehensive strength with the aid of capital market. However, insurance company listed does not mean that will be able to reach the initial purpose, thus comprehensive study and analysis on the returns and risk of Chinese-funded insurance companies listed has great practical significance. This is also the aim of this article. This article starts with the current situation of Chinese-funded insurance companies, thereby pointing out the necessity of Chinese-funded insurance companies listed. At present, the biggest problem of insurance companies in our country is the insufficient solvency caused by inadequate capital.
