指 导 小 组 成 员名 单 : 张冲 汪 洪 章 陈靓 摘 要 卡森 凌 卡勒斯是二十世 纪美 国南方 一位独特 的女作家 ，在其短暂 的生命 中 创作 了不少 的文学作 品 。她着 力表现人类 的精神孤独 ，所 以评论界普遍认为其作 品是人类精神孤独状态 的寓言 ，而相对忽视 了作家对美 国鹵方社会 问题和南方文 化 的关注 与批判 。本文选取 了麦卡勒斯 写于二十世纪 四十年代 的三 部重要作 品， 即 《心是孤独 的猎手 》， 《伤心咖啡馆之歌 》和 《婚礼 的成员 》为研 究对 象 ，从 女 性 哥特 的视 角来解读其作 品对 当时南方主流社会文化 的挑 战与批判 。女性 哥特 是 把女性主义和哥特手法相结合而产生 的一个研究领域,但 目前学界对其没有统一 明晰 的界定 ，所 以在本文 中女性 哥特 主要是指运用哥特手法对社会边缘人 的描绘 与关注 。作为在美 国南方成长起来 的女性作家 ，麦卡勒斯在其作 品中关注 女性人 物 ，但其着力描绘 的女性 角色有着 各种怪 异之处 ，与南方主流文化所要求 的南方 淑 女形象相去甚远 。除 了女性人物 ，麦卡勒斯在 作 品中对社会边缘人给予 了高度 关注 ，她笔下 的角色都 是社会 中失去话语权 的边缘人物 。所 以本文从 女性 哥特 视 角 ，着重分析 了麦卡勒斯作 品中的三位 女性人物和两位边 缘化 男性角色 ，进而讨 论 女作家 的创作策略和创作 目的，并揭示 出：麦卡勒斯 是一位 具有 强烈社会千预 意识 的作家 ，她 的作 品不是简单 的孤独 寓言 ，而 是通过对社会边缘人 的描绘和 关 注 ，对 当时南方 的主流文化做 出了挑 战与颠覆 ，进而 引发人们对普遍接受 的社会 文化价值观进行重新 思考 。 关键词 ：麦卡勒斯 ，女性 哥特 ，怪 异 ，边缘化 ，颠覆 中图分类 号 ：13/7 A b stra ct C arson M cC u llers is a un iqu e fem ale w riter in A m erican South in th e tw entieth century.
