The developm ent and design cycle and cost of solar- assisted heating household b iogas d igest- er system can be cut down greatly w ith the support of num erical smi ulation. In th is paper, stud iesw ere carried out on the three- dmi ensionalunsteady num erical smi u lation of heating process in b iogas digesters by using computational flu id dynam ics (C D) , themu lti- reference fram e (MR ) and standard k- E tu rbu lentm odelw ere used in the smi - u lation. The smi ulation result ind icates that heating coil heat transfer coefficient can enhance sign ificantlyw ith the use of stirring device in biogas d igesters. W ith the increase of rotating mi peller speed, heating coil heat transfer coeffi- cient increases, however, the rotating mi pellerm otor pow er requirem ents also increases. The heating coil heat transfer coefficient smi ulation resu lt has a goodm atch w ith the field test resu lt. The resu lts are of mi portance to the design of SHHBDS. KEY ORDS:S
