2. Objectives
1) Language skills
a. terminal objectives:
Students will be able to
talk about environmental issues, read about the interview of a group of experts on environmental problems and write about what should we do to protect our Earth using the information in the passages
practice reading skills: word attack strategies
practice translating skills: extension
learn and practice sentence functions
b. objectives:
Students will be able to
listen to the Lead in part and fill in the missing words
talk about some environmental issues with what they know about it
read the dialogue samples to prepare for communicative task
scan passage A and passage B for specific information
skim passage A and passage B for main idea
read the passages thoroughly and organize information in it by writing a gist
do Language Focus to consolidate the learning
do Write About It to further understand the passages
practice on the practical writing of Call for Papers
focus on Culture Salon for Humans and Endangered Species
