The particle size tested ranges from 1. 5 to 124 Lm and is divided into 5 grades. The impact sensitivity and friction sensitivity are characterized with 50% drop height and 50% normal pressure respectly The results. show that impact and friction sensitivities of RDX decrease with the reduction of particle size of RDX. T he mechanism and factors of particle size affecting mechanical sensitivity are theoretically analyzed. The results are significant in the research and application of explosives.
