N anjing Institute of eography Lmi nology, Chinese Academy ofScience, Nanjing 210008, China) A bstrac t: In smi ulation expermi ents of internalphosphorus release, four sedmi ents including three sedmi entswith growingmac- rophytes (Vallisneria sp iralis, Phragm ites comm unis, Z izania latfiolia (Griseb) ) and a control from Taihu Lake sedmi entswere tested at differentpH, temperatures and dissolved oxygen (DO) conditions. According to the results, several conclusionswere obtained: intensity of phosphorus release increased w ith high temperature at anaerobic condition, for both acidic and alkaline condition increased the intensity of phosphorus release. Itwas proved that the studiedmacrophyteswere useful to controlphos- phorus release in water body. In addition, the present study also provided several references in ecological remediation of eu- trophicatedwater.
