Introduce the methods of 3D solid modeling of planetary gear in I-DEAS. Study the key point of modeling herringbone gear. According to the I/O technique of I-DEAS and ADAMS establish the virtual prototype of planetary gear in ADAMS. The motion analysis result proved that the model and virtual prototype is precision.
