A s the conseq ence of deprofessionalization, the librariesw ill possibly lose their core com petitiveness, and see the atten - ation of librarianship as a career. S ch factors as the library financial press re, the mi pact of newt ork environm ent, the re- striction of ex isting system asw ell as the disconnection bewt een professional ed cation and the practice needs are ma in ca - ses of deprofessionalization of librarians.
