Since entering new century, the structure o order in medical and health work is con ronted with severe cha-l lenges . Tradit ional medical education is severiously de icient in educational theory, humanism in guiding principle and practice and environment. These phenomena are, we think , the inevidable re lection o the inner con licts between trad-i tional Chinese medicine and Western medicine, the consequences resulting mainly rom the separation o science and technology rom humanism in the technological era, and the biproducts rom the un avourable in luence in the couse o mar- ketingation. The outlet which changes the current situation lies in probing the medical educational pattern in the new cen- tury, doing the construct ion that the humane spirit o the medical education dimension well.
