Abstract: Contemporary achie ements in management of se ere sepsis and septic shock were mainly focus on the ree alu
ation of intensi e glucose controlling and cort icosteroid therapies. Meanw hile, new strategies, including asopressin, st
atins, selecti e decontamination of digesti e t ract and oropharynx also presented confidential results. T he present paper
aims to draw a systemic re iew on these ad ancement s and to highlight the consideration that bot h bundle strat egies and
high- le el management play ital roles in decreasing mortality of critically ill pat ients.
