Because it is affected by other factors , what the simple correlation coefficient reflects is not the essence of relations. In order to reflect exactly the internal rela tions between the two economic variables , it needs calculating the biased correlation coefficient. By comparison with biased correlation coefficient and correlation coefficient , it will be more real and reli able to determine the internal linear relations between the two variables.
