教学设计 Module 6 Films and TV programmes Film Review: Crouching tiger, Hidden dragon Teaching aims(学习目标): 1. To learn about the masterpiece Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon . 2. To improve speaking and writing by discussing and making sentences. 3. To arouse our awareness of (唤起意识) learning and enjoying beauty of arts. Before reading 4.Develop the students’ understanding of bravery and love. Lead-in: 电影海报和影片片段 Show the students Four posters of films to lead them into the field of films. And then a Cast of the movie Crouching tiger, Hidden is shown to lead them into the film. During the watching , think about some vocabulary concerned. (词汇联想) 1 .martial arts film 2 .masterpiece 3. Character 4.unusual ability 5. graceful 6. moving 7 .excitement 8. beauty And talk about the three main characters . While Reading: Task I. Fast reading (选择最佳选项) Go through the whole passage ,and choose which is the best summary of this film? ( ) 1. It takes place on Peking rooftops and in deserts of western China. ( ) 2. It is a martial arts film that tells the story of a stolen sword, and the fight to get it back. ( ) 3. It tells the story of two people who love each other. Task II. Careful reading 1. We will take group discussions to do the job. We will divide the passage into three parts. Finish the mind map Read the film review part by part, and fill in the blanks for each one. Para 1 is the introduction , and this film is a masterpiece. Para 2 is about the film’s setting. Para 3 is about the film’s plot. Para 4 is about the film’s characters. Para 5 is about the writer’s opinion. 2.We will analyze the film review para by para 1). When we come to para one , we will talk about Ang Lee and his films. Ang Lee is a director.
