Scanning(1) Have Ss finish the chart to get more information. Read more carefully to get more specific information. Practice in reading for the specific details. Detailed reading Offer Ss three questions to help them think more. Think more deeply about the ideas. Arouse Ss’ interest to think more. Soft reading Get Ss to read after the tape. Get Ss to correct their pronunciation Post-reading Let Ss act out the situation. Role play in pairs and think more to avoid cultural shock.
