表语从句 在句中担当表语的从句是表语从句。（它 常位于句中be动词或系动词seem, appear, sound, remain, taste, feel, look等之后） 一．wh-疑问词引表语从句 　１That is what we should do. 　3. This is where they once lived. 4. That is why he didn’t come here. 二. whether 引导表语从句，不能用if 代替． 　My question is whether he comes or not. 三．as if, because 也可引导表语从句。 (1)It looks as if it’s going to rain. (2)It was because I got up late. 四．As／what 引导表语从句 　The city is not as /what it used to be. Things are not as /what they seem to be. 五．that 引导表语从句(在非正式文体中that可省The fact is that he left./It seems that it is going to rain.注意(1)在表语从句中,当reason作主语时，引导词只能用that,不能用because The reason why he was late was that he didn’t catch the early bus. (2)Because 和why都能引导表语从句，但含义不同，because引导的表语从句说明理由．而why引导的表语从句是在前面已说明了理由的情况下，加以小结．He didn’t come to school . That’s because he was ill. He was ill. That is why he was late for school. 注意：当主句的主语是advice,suggestion,order,request,requirement等表示建议，要求，命令的名词时，表语从句需用虚拟 My suggestion is that we (should) have a discussion about this matter instead of just laying it aside. 　　　　　　 同位语从句 如果担任同位语的是个句子，则这个句子是同位语从句。同位语从句解释说明先行名词的具体内容，能跟同位语从句的名词常见的有news, word,idea, belief, doubt, fact, question, order, hope, thought, reply,promise,problem, reason等 引导同位语从句常用连词that，它在句中不担任句子成分，没有词意,不能省去。除that外，还有whether, when, where, who, what, which, why, how等也可以引导同位语从句。 The rumour that there will be an earthquake 　　　　　　　soon spread all over the area.
